Farmers' Markets

Wayne County/Honesdale Farmers' Market

The Wayne County Farmers' Market is a weekly marketplace for farmers and producers throughout Northeastern PA and Southern NY to sell their produce and goods. The selection of vegetables changes with the seasons, but there is always a wide variety of locally produced household items, baked goods and decorative items.  Click here to see the list of producers.  Hours are 9:30-1:30 every Saturday trackside at the Chamber of Commerce.

Scranton Co-Op Farmers' Market

This is one of the oldest existing markets in Northeast Pennsylvania.  It's rich history and broad appeal make it a fantastic market to visit in the summer.  Kicking off in mid-July, its 69th season runs Mon., Wed. & Fri. from 12-7 pm.  Click here for more info.

Callicoon Farmers' Market

Visit this market on Sundays from 11-2 pm.  You will find organic produced, fruit, fresh baked goods, gourmet pet treats, local dairy products, meat and more!  The market takes place in downtown Callicoon on banks of the Delaware River.  Click here for more info on the Sullivan County Farmers' Market system.

Hawley Farmers' Market

This market begins its 2nd year on June 27th.  The new location is at the town train station, which offers plenty of space and parking.  This year's vendor list is set to include a great variety of producers.  Expect artisan baked goods, natural meats, seasonal produce and local dairy products.  Hours are 3:30-7:30 on Friday evenings.

Narrowsburg Country Market

This is a new market in '08, and as is the case with new markets, its degree of success will hinge upon public support.  The Narrowsburg Chamber of Commerce has done an excellent job planning the market and recruiting vendors, and we expect this to be a great opportunity for the creamery and the public.  Hours will be Saturdays from 3:00-6:30.

Hell's Kitchen Farmers' Market

Calkins Creamery cheeses are now being offered at this market in NYC.  W. 43rd St. between 9th & 10th
Saturdays 10 am - 3:30 pm, June-Nov.

Calkins Creamery supports multiple farmers' markets throughout our local area.  We believe these markets are a great opportunity for consumers to purchase wholesome, natural foods from their local farmer/artisan network.  In addition, these markets give the producers the ability to direct-market their products to the public, maximizing their revenues and contributing to their ability to self-sustain.  One aspect we especially enjoy is the one-on-one interaction with our customers.  If you've never been, or even if you haven't been in a long time, check out a few of these markets this summer.  Know where your food comes from.  Know your farmer.
