Artisan Cheese

delivered to Your Door

Our family and the entire Calkins Creamery team take pride in how we care for our cows and our land. We believe that knowing your farmer not only feels good but gives you peace of mind when it comes to what you serve your loved ones.

There’s a true labor of love at the heart of our unforgettable and delicious cheeses. And because we’re a small business, we bring thoughtful attention to every aspect of our work. We make all our cheeses in small batches to ensure the best possible quality.

Whether you’ve experienced our Noblette soft-ripened, Brie-style cheese at a five-star restaurant in NYC, discovered our sought-after garlicky Vampire Slayer at a dinner party, or received our signature Cheese Curdz as a gift, we’re so glad you discovered our farm-fresh artisan cheeses!

Below you’ll find all of the items we sell online, including cheese wedges, cheese wheels, gift boxes, and Calkins Creamery branded merchandise.

We hope you enjoy shopping with our local family farm as we deliver fresh, unique, and award-winning cheeses to you and your family.

  • We ship via UPS.

Orders are generally shipped within one to three business days of receipt.

You may also select from expedited shipping methods at checkout (UPS 2nd-Day Air and UPS Overnight where applicable).

All packages are packed with ice during warmer temperatures to ensure they are kept safe during transit.

During winter, ice will be used when deemed necessary based on weather conditions and recipients location.

Orders are not shipped at the end of the week to prevent orders from getting stuck in a warehouse over the weekend.

Orders will ship the following Monday to keep our cheese at the highest quality during shipping transit time.

Should you discover any problems with your order, we will make things right. Please notify us of any problems (damaged products, missing or incorrect items, billing problems, etc.) by emailing us.

If you are reporting a damaged product, please include a photo with your email if possible.

Please notify us of any problems within 15 days of placing your order.

You have questions. We have answers…

  • Our farm is home to a herd of beloved Holstein cows. These happy cows are the source of all of the milk we use to make our artisan cheeses, and those who visit our farm often get to meet one of our girls in person.

  • Yes! Our cows graze on our fields from April through November when the weather cooperates.

Silage (fermented fodder that provides cows with digestible fiber) and feed round out their diet.

  • Our cheeses are made with care right here at the farm.

Our milk is pumped into the creamery straight from the milk tank, making it the freshest milk possible.

Each of our raw milk cheeses is aged at least 60 days before they’re sold.

And our pasteurized cheeses are heat-treated at 145 degrees for thirty minutes before the cheesemaking process.

A single batch takes a full day to make, and we continue to tend to each cheese during its affinage or aging process, ensuring that only the best quality cheeses make it to your table.
